UX design
Good UX design makes digital products easy to understand and a pleasure to use. We take you from insight and concept to tested interfaces that are ready for development.
What is UX design?
UX design (User Experience Design) is about how a product feels to use: how easily you find your way, how quickly you reach your goal, and how it feels along the way. A UX designer works with user insight, information architecture, flows, and interaction — before the visual interface is ever drawn.
Good UX work reduces risk. Discovering that a solution doesn't work in a prototype is far cheaper than discovering it after launch.
UX, UI, and interaction design — what's the difference?
The terms overlap, and designers working on digital products often cover several of them:
- UX design looks at the experience as a whole: needs, flows, structure, and content.
- UI design (User Interface Design) shapes the visual interface: typography, color, components, and layout.
- Interaction design covers how the user interacts with the interface: states, transitions, and feedback.
How we work
Every phase of our process builds on user insight and business goals. We first define the foundation through interviews, needs analysis, and competitor research. We then explore concepts using journey mapping and workshops, before building clickable prototypes in Figma and testing them with real users. What survives testing becomes fully specified screens developers can build from directly — at Ur, design and development sit on the same team.
What you get
Concrete deliverables you can take forward, whether we or someone else builds the solution:
- An insight report with findings from interviews and analysis
- User journeys, information architecture, and wireframes
- Clickable Figma prototypes, tested with users
- A design system with components, ready for development

Frequently asked questions
UX design is about how a digital product feels to use: how easily users find their way, complete tasks, and understand the content. It covers user insight, information architecture, flows, and testing — the foundation laid before the visual interface is designed.
UX is the experience as a whole — needs, structure, and flow. UI is the visual interface — typography, color, and components. Good UI without good UX is a beautiful product that's hard to use.
It depends on scope. A focused insight-and-prototype engagement is a much smaller investment than a full design run for a new product. We work at a fixed price per phase, so you know the cost before we start.
Yes, in the right dose. For small projects, a short insight phase and one tested prototype is often enough — a few days of work that saves weeks of building the wrong thing.
